Laura moved from Seoul, Korea to New York City in the fall of 2013 where she started school at NYU's Gallatin School of Individualized Study. During her undergraduate career, she honed her multidisciplinary approach to not only her academics, where she focused on globalization, ethics and entrepreneurship, but also to the dynamic cultural industries of New York City, merging her love of food, travel and fashion. This mergence lives on through this blog and her presence as a key digital creator in New York City and beyond.
Laura rose to become a prominent influencer in the New York dining and hospitality scene as her then-alter ego, @cityfoodie. Through various brand collaborations, she has since then branched out into the lifestyle and travel space. She continues to work with esteemed brands to create content and execute targeted marketing strategies that can be used cross-promotionally.
In 2015, Laura entered into the fashion industry, starting her own line of leather jackets and basics under the name UNIFORM Clothing, following a fashion entrepreneurship class taken at NYU. Though UNIFORM never officially launched, her leather jackets made their way into the closets of influential tastemakers in New York City. Sales were made online and offline, through a series of pop-up events, complete with F&B sponsors.
